Thanks for visiting! Namaste My Friend I hope you have either gotten a laugh, gotten information or gotten to be a friend. Until we meet again, Brightest Blessings Im Mappam's Wicca Workings A Place to Write and ThinkSomething Extraordinary January 21 New Year
Okay lets get back to business! Everyone wants to start their year off right. Everyone wants this year to be better than last. Let's do something about that. Let's make this happen! To protect your home and those who dwell within a home protection spell. Clean you house first. This is probably the hardest part of this spell, doing the work to get it ready. When you have completed your cleaning (for me it takes a couple days lol) gather acorns if you haven't already put some aside for your magickal workings. Energize them the night before the ritual by the moonlight asking the Goddess to bless them in your magickal workings. The next morning starting at your front door and ending there, circle your house dropping acorns along the way while repeating this chant: "Goddess, I scatter these acorns to protect my home and family." When you return to the front door, thank the Goddess for her blessings of protection and bid her leave. So Mote It Be! When you have completed this, throw coins into your front door to encourage financial prosperity in the year to come. The coins should later be gathered and placed in a container, and kept until the end of the year. Do Not Spend Those Coins or you will be spending more than you have for the rest of the year. May the acorns of your spirits, become the roots of foundations, for your future branches, in the tree of your lives. Grow and Flurish!

July 23 Friends and NailsNAIL IN THE FENCE
(Most importantly the last sentence) There once was a little boy who had a bad temper . His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same." When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry , the wound is still there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us. It's National Friendship Week. Show your friends how much you care. Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND, even if it means sending it back to the person who sent it to you. If it comes back to you, then you'll know you have a circle of friends. YOU ARE MY FRIEND AND I AM HONORED! Now send this to every friend you have!! And to your family . Please forgive me if I have ever left a hole in your fence.
Consider this sent to each of you my friends!

July 02 What Am I Spiritually Speaking??
April 15 Classes in the Arts of the CraftComing soon.......Magicks the Art of Craft
A lot of people have been asking for us if there is a place on the net that they can go that could give them help with learning the arts of witchcraft, magicks and alternate spiritualism. I have this past year searched for a place for those people where I could feel confident in suggesting that they go to learn. Although I have seen bits and pieces of good teaching on many sites, I have not been able to find one that gives you a complete basic understanding of what the Craft is and how to use it. Most sites, involve spiritual commitments to one given sect, this I do not approve of. We are all spiritual beings, our paths vary and are personal to us alone. Because of this, sites which advocate completeness in one avenue of teaching, do not meet the needs of those who have other spiritual growth and want to expand it farther. I don't pretend to know it all, I'm sure that I am far from it, but as a solitary practioner I can give others the advantage of my years of learning and growth from a multi-spiritual background. I know my craft.
With that said, beginning in May 2008, Alexander and Things will start taking applications for classes in the arts of the CRAFT. Anyone who may be interested in learning from the beginning can either keep an eye on www.alexanderandthings.com for futher incormation or can send a letter to alexandernthings@aol.com explaining why they wish to join the class. Everyone, from any spiritual path may be accepted. There will be 5 slots for the class that will be as a scholarship, with no fees. Anyone under the age of 18 years old, must have parental approval to take the class. Parental permission will be verified!
Watch here and at Alexander and Things Magic Shop for more details.

MappaM March 14 The WHYS and WHATS of WOES
The Whys and Whats of Woes In everyone's life is strife of one kind or another. Some have difficult relatives, others have cranky neighbors and some have wars and battles. It never is a smooth ride, we never are trouble free so what can you do? I give you this little piece of advice. Whenever there is trouble rather small as a disagreement or large as a war to the death, pick your battles wisely. Not every trouble needs to be solved, not every battle needs to be fought. Look carefully at the difficulty, the options for cure, and weigh the outcome rather fought or not. Sometimes to ignore is good, other times to ignore is tragic. Pick your battles, for all of them will not be won. If you are fortunate, you will win more than you loose. Know who or what you battle. You cannot defeat what you do not know. You can fight it but you cannot defeat it. Many times a draw is not acceptable. Know who your friends are. These who would help you fight the good fight must have your conviction, must have your will to win, must have your success in thier hearts and minds if not, fight alone. Never forget who you are. Do not become something you are not, just to make a point or fight a fight, or win a war. You will loose the point, the fight and the war. Rejoice quietly in your successes. The fight was yours alone in choice, have comfort in a battle fought and won. When you loose, learn. There is much to be gained from a lost argument and total defeat. Look at why you fought, look at who you fought, look at how you fought and never repeat the mistates that were made. Blessed Be to the battles and wars in our lives for they teach us much, they define who we are, they bring us success and give us PEACE when the battles end. Blessed Be the warriors who defend rightiously February 09 Just for Fun
